Accountability

[Under development]

  • Is important, so that other leaders know who to talk to about an issue.

  • Really means who is “on point”.

  • Is separate from how an accountable person is treated; e.g., does not mean that someone is punished when things don’t go well.

  • Often should be shared, so that there is a collective goal, and so that contributing areas feel they have an investment while preserving their agency.
