Agile 2 is Mature
The classic Agile movement introduced some great ideas, but those ideas were not enterprise-ready.
Agile 2 is enterprise-ready.
Agile 2:
Acknowledges nuance rather than one-size-fits-all.
Embraces the need for leadership, and its many forms.
Is integrated with DevOps.
Has rich ideas about organizational culture and people, and how to achieve transformation.
Speaks to the need to manage the organization’s data.
Treats product design as a first class activity—not an add-on.
Has a rational and agile approach to risk management.
The Agile 2 initiative was an independent non-commercial undertaking. The Agile 2 philosophy was created by 15 highly experienced people, with expertise in product design, organizational culture, leadership, business, learning theory, hardware and software engineering, data, Agile, and DevOps. Most of these people are not affiliated with Agile 2 Academy.
Agile 2 is a rich set of viewpoints and approaches about behavior in organizations. It addresses complex topics such as leadership, agility, effective collaboration, and developing people.
Agile 2 is not a set of vague maxims. And it is not a process or framework.
Agile 2 is defined at the Agile 2 website, agile2.net.
